Bachelor Courses

Bachelor's Degree: A baccalaureate (Latin Latin baccalaureus) or baccalaureate (Modern Latin baccalaureate) degree is a undergraduate degree awarded by colleges and universities after completion of a course of study lasting three to seven years

(depending on the institution and academic discipline).

The term bachelor in the 12th century referred to a bachelor gentleman, who was too young or poor to gather vassals under his own banner. By the end of the thirteenth century, it was also used by junior members of guilds or universities. By popular etymology or play on words, the word baccalaureus came to be associated with bacca lauri ("laurel berry") in reference to laurels being awarded for academic success or honors.

Bachelor's Degree (4 years) = 240 ECTS or 120 semester units.

Requires preparation and presentation of monograph for conclusion.
